Our Growth

From its humble beginning in Stockholm back in 1916, Jacobi Carbons has grown into a significant leader in the activated carbon marketplace. A testament to our success is an average annual growth rate of over 30% in the last decade.   But how did it happen?  Like any company, your search for the answer begins with our roots.

Our founder,  Ferdinand Adolph Wilhelm Jacobi built his business model on hard work, attention to detail, superior customer service, and by investing his profits back into the company.  Since then, from his son to his grandson, the Jacobi family used the same business values and entrepreneurial spirit to meet the demands of a growing market in Scandinavia.

However, at turn of the 21st century, the company witnessed a more major turning point.  After an MBO of the Jacobi Group, the company literally exploded on the world market landscape, and has shocked the carbon world since.

With headquarters in Kalmar, Sweden, we now serve markets in 100 countries and continue to look for better and innovative ways to serve our customers.

But at the core?  We remain the same company we were in 1916 – we start by listening and responding to our customers, and then working diligently and efficiently to meet their needs.
